Overview

SentimenTrader for TradingView is the official browser extension from SentimenTrader that displays sentiment indicators on TradingView charts. This privacy policy describes how the extension handles your data.

Data Collection

Authentication Information

• Your SentimenTrader username and password are collected to authenticate with the SentimenTrader API
• This data is required to access your subscribed sentiment indicators

Website Content

• The extension reads TradingView page content (specifically the current symbol/ticker) from the DOM
• This is used solely to display relevant sentiment indicators for the symbol you are viewing
• No other website content is collected or transmitted

Data Storage

Login Credentials

• Your SentimenTrader username and password are stored locally in chrome.storage.local
• The password is encrypted before storage
• Credentials are never transmitted to any server other than api.sentimentrader.com

User Preferences

• Theme, panel position, favorites, and other settings are stored locally in chrome.storage.local
• These settings never leave your device

What We Do NOT Collect

• No analytics or telemetry
• No user behavior tracking (clicks, mouse position, keystrokes)
• No browsing history
• No personal information (name, address, email, age, ID numbers)
• No health information
• No financial or payment information
• No location data
• No personal communications

Data Transmission

All API requests are made directly from your browser to https://api.sentimentrader.com. No intermediary servers are involved.

What is sent:

• Your SentimenTrader username and password (HTTP Basic Auth) to authenticate API requests
• The current symbol detected from TradingView (to fetch relevant indicators)
• Standard HTTP headers (User-Agent, etc.)

What is received:

• Sentiment indicator data for your subscribed symbols

Third-Party Services

The extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, transfer, or share your data with third parties. Your data is only used for the extension's core functionality: displaying SentimenTrader indicators on TradingView charts.

Changes to This Policy

Updates to this privacy policy will be reflected in the extension's version history and the Chrome Web Store listing.
